This is a lovely place. One of the best views we’ve ever had and we’ve been coming to Maine for 12 years. September is a great time to come – great weather and no crowds! (Osprey's Nest September 2007)

This is one of my favorite spots. Nothing beats a second cup of coffee sitting at the corner table watching the boats, birds and the beaqutiful water. The people at Watson's General Store are so friendly as the ones at the Block and Tackle. I had a super time and once again I hate to leave!. (Sailor's Rest Fall 2007)

What a great place! We’ve been coming to Maine for two years – to all areas of the coastline. I think we’ve found the best of the best at Cundy’s Harbor. Met some nice people, had tasty lobsters and its close to places we like to visit while in Maine and WHAT A VIEW! We’ll be back. (Osprey's Nest September 2007)

This is so beautiful - the scenery, the seals, the changing colors of the leaves, the lobster boats, the lighthouses, the beaches - what a wonderful cottage. The people in Cundy's Harbor are so friendly. (Sailor's Rest October 2007)

Osprey’s Nest is a great escape and relief from the heat of Florida. We absolutely loved Cundy’s Harbor – beautiful, quiet, peaceful – and Osprey’s Nest is a great location - relaxing with all the comforts of home! We didn’t have the greatest weather but we enjoyed the spacious deck, comfortable furnishings and conveniences. We got a chance to explore the preserves of Harpswell Land Trust, visit the towns of Brunswick and Bath and of course hit the outlets in Freeport! Loved the fact that we could buy fresh lobster (from Hawkes) and cook up our own lobster bake here. Thanks for sharing this wonderful place! We look forward to coming back again. There’s so much more we want to explore. (Osprey's Nest September 2007)

I loved reading by the raocks as the tide came in, listening to the birds over the water. And, aside from some unfriendly zombie utterances in the night, the place was very relaxing. OK, fine, it was the seals making those sounds. (Sailor's Rest August 2007)

We greatly enjoyed the peacefulness of Cundy’s Harbor! The weather was fantastic and a wonderful break from our 100 degree temperatures (at home). We also enjoyed the hiking trails – one off Mountain Road behind the Town Offices and one on Bailey’s Island. Walking to the lobster depot (Watson’s), on the main road, is a must, to pick out your dinner! And just watching the tide roll in and out was wonderful. (Hopkin's View August 2007)

Waking up so near the water was an extraordinary gift. The stars at night, the seals sunbathing on the rocks, the lobster dinner at Holbrooks, the quiet all made for a sublime retreat. (Sailor's Rest August 2007)

Every day it looked different: mist, sun, sunset, sunrise, rain, high tide, low tide. Incredible. What a beautiful spot. Our finest week in Maine was at Cundy’s Harbor, the best place to start our stay here. (Hopkin's View August 2007)

It was a joy to be at Sailor's Rest with my family this week. I intend to return to this small corner of Heaven. (Sailor's Rest August 2007)

Absolutely loved the area, house and people. Maine is the most beautiful state and not as touched with materialism as others. Love it here and will strive to live here some day! (Hopkin's View July 2007)

Such a comfortable cottage with so many amenities. The views were so beautiful from the house. We were able to relax and loved exploring the rocks at low tide. We found lots of treasurs! Thank you for sharing the house with us. We had a wonderful time and it was sad to leave. (Sailor's Rest July 2007)

Another great visit to Cundy’s Harbor. The Botanical Gardens in Boothbay are beautiful. We also enjoyed the visit to Eagle Island. The Giant’s Staircase (Harpswell) is spectacular. But the most relaxing part is sitting on the deck and taking in the water view. (Osprey's Nest July 2007)

A lovely, extremely relaxing holiday! You never get bored of the view. Especially loved lobster at the wharf restaurant in Cundy's Harbor. (Sailor's Rest July 2007)

Lovely, lovely place and very friendly locals! Thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful beauty. Great food and smell of the sea air. Recommend to anyone that this is a wonderful place to elope to! We were married this week aboard a 104 year old friendship sloop in Quahog Bay under the watchful eyes of bald eagles and osprey. We’d love to come back again! (Hopkin's View June 2007)

I discovered Maine quite late in life. If you want to escape the stress and the rush and worries of everyday life, come enjoy this cottage by the sea. It provides views that are an artist's delight. (Sailor's Rest May 2007)

Thanks so much for the nice stay in you lovely cottage. We really enjoyed it. The views were spectacular, bed was comfy, place was cozy. We loved the warm colors you used. The kitchen was well set up and it provided a perfect place for us to stay while seeing family in Brunswick over the holidays. (Sailor's Rest November 2006)

The house is great and we will certainly miss the amazing view from the deck. We had quite a few adventures while we were here. We went kayaking in New harbor, visited Pemaquid Point, had a sunset dinner at Cook’s Lobster House, went to Popham and Thomas Cook Beach, visited Land’s End and Harpswell, had fish chowder at the Dolphin Restaurant, went shopping in Freeport, and went whale watching and sightseeing in Boothbay. We capped off the week with a wonderful lobster dinner on the deck, courtesy of Watsons. We even found time to relax and catch up on some much needed sleep! We could not have picked a better place to spend our honeymoon, and will definitely be back in years to come. (Osprey's Nest September 2006)

We found this house on the Internet, and are we glad that we did. We have spent two glorious weeks in the Paradise of Maine. Sailor's Rest was wonderful, intimate, cozy and extrememly well appointed. There was nothing that we lacked for. The setting is idilic and resful, yet bustling with activity. This is nature at its best.We can honestly say that we have spent two of the most memorable weeks of in our lives. (Sailor's Rest September 2006)

First we enjoyed the Bluegrass Festival at Thomas Point Beach, then a week of kayaking up and down. The Maritime Museum in Bath was wonderful. The lobster from Watson’s was great. This is a real treasure of a place. We saw seals, osprey, herons and egrets. Check out The Basin (for boaters) across the way. We’d love to come back. (Hopkin's View September 2006)

Our friend stayed here last year and we heard such great stories and saw pictures from her stay, so we decided we needed to see it for ourselves. We've had a terrific week of sightseeing and just enjoying the views "at home". A neighbor showed us how to hypnotize a live lobster! (Sailor's Rest September 2007)

A wonderful, relaxing vacation. A great location for peninsula hopping – but always great to get back to the beautiful view from the deck. We enjoyed canoeing the bay and meeting the “locals”. Saw eagles, osprey, egrets, ducks, seals, kingfishers, as well as the neighbor’s pet seagulls. Hope to return! (Osprey's Nest September 2006)

First we were amazed, then charmed, then enthralled then entranced, then lulled into a sense of serenity and well being. Thank you for finding this place and making it available to us. This has been a most memorable week – and we will surely return. (Hopkin's View August 2006)

Thank you for creating the most unique home away from home. We felt as though we were living a chapter out of a novel! Very magical! We toured other wonderful harbors but most of all....coming home to our little nest at Sailor's Rest each afternoon was the best! We look forward to next year. (Sailor's Rest August 2006)

We’ve had a wonderful holiday in this beautiful peaceful place. Bath has been a special treat – shops, coffee, the Maine Maritime Museum. We’ve walked many of the points of land on Audubon Society Sanctuaries, loved the Reid State Park, exploring the small towns and of course the lobsters and clams! We’ll definitely be back. (Hopkins View August 2006)

A wonderful week! We enjoyed the lovely view, watching the birds and boats, and had fun canoeing. Took a trip to Boothbay Harbor which was wonderful despite the slow traffic in Wiscasset. Bed was very comfortable, as were the sofas for reading. We read “The Lobster Chronicles” which was very appropriate! Lobster dinner at Estes, fried clams at the Lobster Barn, fish and chips at the Holbrook Café, and a German meal at Richards in Brunswick topped off a fabulous week. Thank you! (Hopkins View Aug 2006)

This is a wonderful location. The tranquility is therapeutic. Nature dominates, yet shopping and facilities are conveniently nearby. We were very comfortable here and, in particular, enjoyed the deck where we ate copious quantities of lobster from Watson’s. Also loved good food from Middlebay (restaurant) – “Maine’s Best Kept Secret”. (Osprey's Nest August 2006)

Hopkins View has been perfect and a place we will fondly remember as “Down East” Maine at its finest. Going back to landlocked Indiana will be hard since there’s no tide to watch, lobsters to eat or lobstermen to watch. To those who come after us, the best haddock sandwich, onion rings and view are at Five Island Lobster in Georgetown. Fried clams at the Lobster Barn are also essential. More important, enjoy every sunrise! Thanks for a great time! (Hopkin's View August 2006)

Osprey’s Nest is an especially tranquil and beautiful location. On August 17 we began to notice an increased variety in bird life, e.g. Canada geese, snowy egret – we can only imagine that the variety will increase for the coming weeks of late summer and early fall. The apartment is attractive, light, airy and extremely comfortable – air circulation from 4 directions. We plan to return. (Osprey's Nest August 2006)

Great week of kayaking and walking the beaches at Morse Mountain and Reid State Park. Visited Five Islands and ate lunch on the dock – great area. Another evening we had a delicious dinner at the Meeting House. (Osprey's Nest July 2006)

We were married this week and headed up here to Maine for our honeymoon. What an amazing get away. The cottage was perfect....quiet, relaxing and very romantic! Thanks so much. We will always remember this place. (Sailor's Rest June 2006)

We love Osprey’s Nest – it felt like we indeed had the bird’s eye view of the prettiest spot on the peninsula. The changing water, the wildlife and the weather changes were all beautiful and fascinating. (Osprey's Nest June 2006)

Outstanding view! Upon arrival we were greeted by the Blue Angels practicing for the air show Saturday and Sunday at Brunswick Naval Base. This we attended and enjoyed. Osprey’s Nest is decorated with a perfect Maine look – the valances matching the green paint. The varied art work was a pleasure to live with. This is a lovely time to enjoy Maine. We shall miss the sound of lobster boats leaving the bay in the early morning, the “sea smell”, pine trees, goldenrod and water. (Osprey's Nest September 2005)

Thank you for the maps, the where-you-are information, the thoughtful accessories. I enjoyed the colors and perspective choices of your paintings. We drank in the view ---that was all we needed. I spent a farewell night sleeping under the Milky Way on the deck – to the soft sound of water moving. We leave rested, recharged. (Osprey's Nest September 2005)

It is such a great joy to wake up in the AM and hear the seagulls and the lobster boats going out – and watching the real osprey every AM and PM. Your paintings are charming – I particularly enjoyed them because I, too, paint. We went to a lot of galleries in Camden – loved Camden! (Osprey's Nest August 2005)
